Radio & Television: Be On the Show

From the Top is always looking for classical soloists, ensembles and composers who would like to perform and be interviewed on our radio and television programs. Young musicians, ages 8-18, who are not yet enrolled full-time in a college or conservatory may apply. Applicants must live in the United States or have a significant training connection to this country. Musicians who appear on radio are eligible for our television programs and vice versa. You are automatically considered for both radio and television when you apply. Soloists, small ensembles (2 to 8 performers), large ensembles (More than 8 performers) and composers apply by downloading, completing and submitting the appropriate application and requested materials.

We also welcome applications for our $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award, which is awarded annually to talented young musicians with financial need. Please note the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award has a separate application with separate deadlines that must be accompanied by the applicable soloist, small ensemble, large ensemble or composer application. Please note that there is a $20 fee per application. The fee is waived for soloist or composer applicants with financial need. However, these applicants must also apply to our Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award Scholarship program (click here for guidelines and to download an application). Applicants may enclose a personal check made out to From the Top or pay through PayPal via our online store and include a copy of the receipt page.
