Apply for the Margaret Stewart Lindsay Awards
From the Top is requesting proposals that focus on community-based projects beginning in January 2011. This is an opportunity for young musicians to use their talent and creativity to make a difference in people’s lives – to help them see the world differently in some small or large way.
Who should apply?
High school or college musicians in the Greater Boston area interested in using their talent and creativity to give back to their social networks and communities.
What is the size of the awards?
Up to 4 grants will be awarded, ranging in value from $250-$1000. To be considered, you must respond to each section of the RFP below.
When are applications due?
The application deadline is January 28, 2010. Applications should be sent via email to email@example.com by 5:00 pm. Award notices will be made via email and/or telephone on February 4, 2011. (See timeline in Application Instructions/RFP below). There will be an orientation for grant awardees in February 2011.
Can the grant be used for an existing project?
Yes, the grant may be used to further develop an existing project. However, you must schedule a phone meeting with a From the Top advisor before submitting your application.
What if I am not chosen to receive a grant?
Each applicant’s contact information will be entered into a From the Top Arts Leadership database. We will notify you as more opportunities become available.
