This week, from New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall in Boston, we'll hear five outstanding musicians, including a 17-year-old performing part of the Saint-Saëns Clarinet Sonata, a teenage ensemble performing a movement from the Shostakovich Piano Trio, and a 16-year-old pianist performing the Chopin Prelude, Op. 38, No.24.

Violist Lisa Steltenpohl, 16, from North Barrington, IL, performs 1919 Suite, 4th mvt. by Ernest Bloch

The Shostakovich Trio (violinist Yumi Cho, 17; our violinist, cellist Xiaodan Zheng, 17; and pianist Weiyin Chen) from New York, NY, performs Piano Trio No.2, 2nd mvt.

Pianist Alicia Martinez, 16, from Rockaway, NJ, performs Prelude Op. 38, No. 24 by Frédéric Chopin
