Thomas Pfefer Shares his Passion for Music with Kids from Allentown, PA

Guitarist Thomas Pfefer feels blessed to have music in his life, and wanted to share this gift with others in his community.

What: a performance for nearly 100 kids, from 13 months to 11 years-old, at the Volunteers of America Children’s Center in Allentown, PA

When: October 13, 2011

How: Jim Ingolio, Director of Mission Advancement at the Center, and Dolores Swavely, Director of the Children’s Center, saw Thomas perform on From the Top in Bethlehem, PA. They were so inspired by his performance that they asked if he would be willing to visit a group of kids involved in their program. For the event, Thomas performed a variety of guitar pieces, then shared more about how the guitar works and why he loves to perform music.

“What I really hope is that I made them realize that they too could be really good at something if they work hard at achieving their goals."

"This was an amazing experience. I really enjoyed playing for the kids and there is no better feeling than knowing you may have a positive impact on another person's life. I was truly inspired to become more involved in sharing my passion with other students.”
