Isaiah was recently announced as a finalist in the Johansen International Competition’s Cello division. He was the only American cellist to achieve a winning placement, coming away with the Third Prize of $5,000.

Meet Isaiah

Show 311 bio:

Isaiah Kim, 14, cello, is from Wallingford, Pennsylvania, where he attends Strath Haven High School. He has played the cello for ten years and currently studies with Priscilla Lee.  He is a member of the Youth Chamber Orchestra at the Temple University Music Preparatory School.  He has participated in numerous summer festivals such as the Meadowmount School of Music and the Heifetz International Music Institute. Isaiah has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra as a result of winning their annual Concerto Competition. Outside of music, Isaiah enjoys playing sports like basketball and soccer.
