This week, from the Fisher Theater at Iowa State University in Ames, our line-up of outstanding performers includes a 16-year-old pianist from Massachusetts performing the music of Igor Stravinsky, an incredible octet from Ohio performing Mendelssohn, and we’ll meet a young oboist who has an unusually challenging relationship with her high school band director – he’s her dad!

Saxophonist and 10th Anniversary Alumni Performer Keitaro Harada from Tuscon, AZ, performs Adios Nonino by Astor Piazzolla

Octet Abbraccio (violinist Heeyeon Chung, 17; violinist Kaho Sugawara, 16; violinist Claire Watkins, 17; violinist Eva Kennedy, 15; violist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Meredith Kufchak, 16; violist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Rachel Kufchak, 18; cellist Ruthie Cordray, 17; cellist Kyle Price, 17) from Columbus, OH, performs IV.
