About

This week, from New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall in Boston, our line-up of outstanding performers includes an 11-year-old pianist from Oregon who says she’s really shy (you be the judge!), and a 17-year-old timpanist from here in Massachusetts who’ll give us an entertaining introduction to the big copper drums. Also, our 10th Anniversary Alumni guest Maya Shankar speaks about life as a scientist as well as the emotions of rediscovering music seven years after an injury forced her to quit.
