From the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in Kahului, Hawaii, this week’s show features outstanding musicians from 12 to 16 years old, including a young violinist from Honolulu performing from Beethoven’s Sonata No. 8 in G Major and a piano duo from Chicago, both 12-years-old, performing Rachmaninoff for four hands. Also, Roving Reporter Hayley Goldbach joins us to help a young guitarist on today’s program contact his Hollywood idol.

Pianists Luke Harvey and Kevin Hong, both 12, from Chicago, IL, perform Italian Polka by Sergei Rachmaninoff

Guitarist Guillaume DeZwirek, 16, from San Jose, CA, performs “La Foule” arranged by Roland Dyens

Double bassist Kathryn Schulmeister, 16, from Kailua, HI, performs “Elegy” by Giovanni Bottesini

Pianist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Aimi Watanabe, 16, from Maui, HI, performs Sonata in D minor & Sonata in G major by Domenico Scarlatti
