This talent packed annual highlights show features some of the best music and interviews from our past couple of seasons, including one of the most imaginative and musical double bassists we’ve ever encountered, an 11-year-old violinist who’s personality is just irresistible, and a very special appearance by the Mother of the Year.

The MacPhail Suzuki Guitar Quartet (guitarists David Tramm, 17, from Arden Hills, MN; Thomas Polzine, 17, from Buffalo, MN; Stephen Krishnan, 17, from Shoreview, MN; and Christopher Garwood, 15, from Maple Plain, MN) from the MacPhail Center for Music performs Ellis Island by Ben Verdery

16-year-old pianist Irwin Jiang from Honolulu, HI plays Toccata in D minor, Op.11 by Sergei Prokofiev

Double bassist Kiyoe Wellington, 15, from Kaneohe, Hawaii plays Reitba by Francois Rabbath, accompanied by Christopher O’Riley

The Polaris Quartet (violinist Andrea Jarrett, 17, from Saline, MI; violinist Vince Meklis, 16, from Orland Park, IL; violist Matthew Lipman; and cellist Gabriel Cabezas, 16 from Wilmette, IL) from the Music Institute of Chicago performs V. Allegro Molto from String Quartet No. 4 by Béla Bartók
