From the Nazareth College Arts Center in Rochester, New York, eight seriously musical teens tackle double reeds, voice, and all manner of strings in performances of music from the 18th to 21st century.

Performers and repertoire:

Harvest Zhang, piano, age 15 from Rochester, NY performs “Russian Dance” from Petrouchka by Igor Stravinsky

Zoë Hilbert, oboe, age 17 from Oak Park, IL performing the second movement (Allegretto) from Sonata for Oboe and Piano in D major by Camille Saint-Saëns, accompanied by Christopher O’Riley, piano

Kimani Griffin, guitar, age 17 from Winston-Salem, NC plays the second and third movements from “Aquarelle” by Sérgio Assad

Mairin Srygley, mezzo-soprano, age 17 from Baltimore, MD sings “Voi, che sapete” from The Marriage of Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, accompanied by Christopher O’Riley, piano

Compass String Quartet plays the first movement of the String Quartet No.2 in D minor, Op. 76, No. 2 by Franz Joseph Haydn. The Compass Sting Quartet is William Cho, violin, age 18 from Rochester, NY, Kieran Hanlon, violin, age 17, Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist, from Canandaigua, NY, Michael Sabatka, viola, age 18 from North Chili, NY, and Stephen Ryck, cello, age 18 from Penfield, NY
