Join our Center for the Development of Arts Leaders

Did you know that there are other ways for young musicians to be part of From the Top beyond being on our radio show? Here in our hometown of Boston, we offer a unique leadership program called the Center for the Development of Arts Leaders (CDAL). More than 50 young musicians joined this past year (meet them all here). Through performance, mentoring, and collaboration, they explored how music can be a force for positive change in their communities.

The deadline to apply for the 2016–2017 school year is June 15. The program is free to participate (there is a small application fee). Rising high school sophomores through rising college sophomores are welcome to apply. For more information, click here.

CDAL has made me a better musician by teaching me that music is bigger than the practice room or the concert hall. Taking music into the community gives me the best feeling in the world because I know I am making a difference in someone’s life. Julianne Mulvey, bassoon
