Meet Huanyi

Huanyi performed on Show 365, recording on February 3, 2019 at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall.

Huanyi Yang (trumpet), 19, is from Beijing, China and is a senior at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts, where he studies trumpet with New England Conservatory Preparatory School (NEC Prep) faculty member Joseph Foley. He was the winner of the 2017 Brockton Symphony Concerto Competition and performed as soloist with the orchestra in December 2017. He is also a member of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Honors Brass Quintet at NEC Prep.
