Meet Kevin

Kevin performs on Show 399, recorded at the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, California. He previously performed on Show 341 from Los Angeles, California in 2017, as well as on Show 304, recorded in Wellesley, MA, on March 26, 2015.

Program bio from Show 341:

Kevin Miura (violin), 14, is in eighth grade at Sierra Vista Middle School in Irvine, California and studies with Danielle Belen at the Colburn Music Academy. His most memorable musical experiences were at the Menuhin International Violin Competition in London in 2016, where he won second place, the audience award, and an award for outstanding potential that resulted in a loan of a golden period Stradivarius. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys watching backyard birds.

Kevin Miura (violin), 12, is from Irvine, California, where he attends Santiago Hills Elementary. He studies with Danielle Belen at the Colburn School. Kevin won a Gold Medal from the American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented (AADGT), and performed in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as a part of this award. He has attended the Center Stage Strings Summer Camp. Outside of music, Kevin enjoys solving Rubik’s Cubes, building Legos, reading, and playing handball.
