Seven Chicks and a Dude is an Ohio-based octet comprised of violinist Heeyeon Chung, 17, from Columbus, violinist Kaho Sugawara, 16, from Dublin, violinist Claire Watkins, 17, from Worthington, violinist Eva Kennedy, 15, from Worthington, violist Meredith Kufchak, 16, from Westerville, violist Rachel Kufchak, 18, from Westerville, cellist Ruthie Cordray, 17, from Worthington, and cellist Kyle Price, 17, from Worthington. Sisters Meredith and Rachel are recipients of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award Scholarship. The ensemble is coached by Deborah Price.
