Meet Phuong-Nghi

Phuong-Nghi Pham first performed on Show 212, recorded in February 2010 at age 14. She was also heard on Show 285 in March 2014, at age 18.

Phuong-Nghi Pham (piano), 18, is from Dorchester, Massachusetts, and is a high school senior at Boston Latin School. She is enrolled in the full Certificate program at the New England Preparatory School as the John C. Holtz Ambassador Award Recipient of the Max Reger Foundation of America, where she is currently studying with Heng-Jin Park. She previously appeared on From the Top in 2010, when she received From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award and was also named a Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholar in 2009. Phuong-Nghi is a two-time Grand Prizewinner of the Fidelity Investments Young Artists Competition and performed with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall in 2011 and 2012. In May 2013, she received Second Prize in the Steinway Society Piano Competition for Division 5. She is also the winner of the 2013 NEC Concerto Competition for Category D and performed with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra in Jordan Hall in February 2014. Next fall, Phuong-Nghi will be attending Amherst College as a Jack Kent Cooke College Scholar and a QuestBridge National College Match Recipient.
