Meet Riya

RIYA SHANKAR is a sixteen-year-old violinist from Southborough, MA. She is a junior at St. Mark’s School and has been playing violin for 12 years. She studies with Kelly Barr at NEC Prep, where she also performs with their Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. She enjoys chamber music and plays in a trio with two other members of CDAL. She is excited to share her passion for music and violin through CDAL this year!

Riya is a member of the Center for Development of Arts Leaders (CDAL) in Boston.
