Meet Robert

Robert Diaz appeared on Show 358 on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

Robert Diaz (oboe), 17, hails from Clearwater, Florida and is currently studying at the Interlochen School for the Arts in Michigan with  Dane Philipsen. He is a recipient of From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. His primary teachers in Florida are Joellen Shaw and Jeffrey Stephenson. One of his favorite musical experiences was participating in the Music For All’s Honors Orchestra of America. Robert is planning on attending the Cleveland Institute of Music under the instruction of Frank Rosenwein in the fall. Aside from music, Robert enjoys swimming, running, and going to the beach.
