Samantha Hankey appeared on Show 226, recorded in January 2011, at the age of 18.

Samantha Hankey (mezzo soprano), 18, comes from Marshfield, Massachusetts and attends the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. She began taking voice lessons at the age of 6 and she also plays the piano. Samantha is a member of the Walnut Hill School Choir and the New England Conservatory Youth Chorale and Youth Camerata. She has performed in ensembles at Walnut Hill, New England Conservatory, Longy School of Music, and attended the Boston University of Tanglewood Institute summer program in 2009. She is a recipient of From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award Aside from music, Samantha enjoys creating a variety of artwork from collage books to ceramics, spending time with her boxer Ritz, and being outdoors.
