Sun-Jung Yum, viola
Meet Sun-Jung
SUN-JUNG YUM attends Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, where she is currently a sophomore. She began to play the viola when she was in 4th grade and now studies with Paula Majerfeld of New England Conservatory. She has played in many different orchestras at both New England Conservatory Preparatory School and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. Sun-Jung currently plays in the Boston Youth Symphony, as well as her school’s String Orchestra and occasionally their World Jazz Ensemble. Aside from viola, Sun-Jung enjoys singing, playing the guitar, and writing for her school newspaper. In addition, she plays Varsity Tennis and is a Tae-Kwon-Do black belt. Sun-Jung also likes to volunteer in many different shelters and organizations around Cambridge during her free time.
