The Gail W. Snitzer Advanced Study String Quartet is based at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its members include 17-year-old violinist Carolyn Semes from Broomall, Pennsylvania, who is a senior at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School; 18-year-old Beatrice Hsieh from North Wales, Pennsylvania, who is a freshman at Cleveland Institute of Music; 18-year-old violist Joseph Burke from Kendall Park, New Jersey, who is a freshman at RutgerÕs Mason Gross School of the Arts; and 18-year-old cellist Zachary Mowitz from Princeton, New Jersey, who is a freshman at Curtis Institute of Music.
