This week’s From the Top was recorded at the Paramount Center for the Performing Arts in Bristol, Tennessee and includes a young soprano from Georgia performing “Monica’s Waltz” from Menotti’s opera The Medium, and a teenage pianist from Pennsylvania performing Debussy’s Valse Romantique. Also, you’ll meet a 17-year-old guitarist who is on the cutting edge of extreme sports.

Piano Christopher O’Riley performs “Let Down” by Radiohead, arranged by O’Riley

Violinist Michael Long, 13, from Bristol, TN, performs Four Romantic Pieces, 2nd mvt. by Antonín Dvořák

Pianist Gregory Strohman, 17, from Lebanon, PA, performs Valse Romantique by Claude Debussy

Celtic Air performs the Appalachian tune “Far Away” along with a set of traditional Scottish reels (closing of program)
