This week, From the Top comes to you from the Sammons Center in Dallas, Texas, where you’ll hear a wonderfully subtle performance of Saint-Saëns’ Sonata for Clarinet and Piano performed by a sensitive 16-year-old clarinetist. You’ll also meet an excellent local teenage wind ensemble and see whether we can enter a young pianist into The Guinness Book of World Records.

Soprano Farin Loeb, 18, from North Haven, CT, performs “Come Unto Him” from Messiah by George Frideric Handel

Pianist Christopher O’Riley performs “Thinking About You” by Radiohead, arranged by O’Riley

The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Wind Symphony from Dallas, TX, featuring French horn player Steven Ledford, 18, performs Horn Concerto in E-flat, K. 416 (Allegro) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Violinist Chloe Trevor, 14, from Plano, TX, performs the Prelude to Partita in E Major by Johann Sebastian Bach

Violinist Chloe Trevor performs “Flight of the Bumble Bee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, arranged by Jascha Heifetz
