This week we travel to the Idyllwild Arts Academy, site of one of the nation’s most prestigious pre-college musical training programs. We meet some of the school’s most talented soloists and their top string ensemble.

Pianist Cory Daniel Bonn, 18, performs Impromptu in F minor, Op. 36 by Frédéric Chopin

Marimba player Ying-Hsueh Chen, 17, performs “Dream of the Cherry Blossoms” by Keiko Abe

Trumpet player Todor Miroslavov Ivanov, 16, performs Sonata in D Major, 1st and 3rd mvts. by Henry Purcell
