About the Performers

Subin Cho (flute), 17, from Keller, Texas is a recipient of From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. She started playing the flute when she was 10 and has been studying with Monica Song for eight years and Won Lee for four years. This fall, she begins studies at the Peabody Institute of Music under Marina Piccinini. She was a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and 6A Texas All-State (2017 and 2018). Her individual achievements include performing at the Carnegie Hall in New York as a Grand Prize Winner of Concert Artists “VIRTUOSO” International Competition, Grand Prize Winner of Northeast Young Artist Competition (2018), First Place Winner of Donna Marie Haire National Young Artist Competition( 2017), Winner of MTNA National Senior Woodwind Competition in Texas Division, South Central Division, and National (2019).

Guest Host Jeremy Denk is one of America’s foremost pianists. Winner of a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, and the Avery Fisher Prize, Denk was recently elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
